WHO'S PETER?

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Peter Mills is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory and has performed professionally as a member of Actor's Equity Association in musical productions across the United States.

 

Professional stage credits include: Hello, Dolly! (Ford's Theater, DC), Evita (Northern Stage, VT), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Goodspeed Opera, CT), Bye Bye Birdie (North Shore Music Theater, MA), Curtains, Crazy for You, and Annie (Music Theater of Wichita, KA), Guys and Dolls (Ogunquit Playhouse, ME), PIRATES!(Huntington Theatre Company), and Kiss Me, Kate (Lyric Stage Company of Boston, MA). During his professional performing career Peter had the opportunity to work with many renown artists including Broadway directors, choreographers and performers like Michael Lichtefeld, Peggy Hickey, Eric Schaeffer, Kellie Barklay, Nancy Opel, and Christian Hoff.

 

Peter also worked as a contemporary dancer in New York City and Boston with Amalgamate Dance Company, BalaSole Dance Company, Six Degrees Dance, and Urbanity Dance Company. In addition to his degree from The Boston Conservatory, Peter trained at The Boston Ballet School and The Alvin Ailey School in NYC.

 

Peter has taught jazz, tap, and musical theatre with The Citadel Theatre, NUOVA Vocal Arts, Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts, DanceEmotion Studio, Dance Code Studio YEG, Promethean Spark International, and also appeared as a guest instructor for the University of Alberta BFA Acting Program. Recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, Peter serves as a Dance Teacher with San Francisco Unified School District as well as a Teaching Artist with American Conservatory Theater, Musical Theatre Works, and San Francisco Waldorf High School. 

 

His directing and choreography credits include Tuck Everlasting (Opera NUOVA), Little Women (Opera NUOVA), Grease (Edmonton Musical Theatre), Broadway Rocks Again! (Edmonton Musical Theatre), Legally Blonde (Musical Theatre Works), Chicago (SF Waldorf High School), Mamma Mia (SFUSD), and Frozen Jr (SFUSD).
